In response to the forecasted inclement weather conditions, GSI has announced a relaxed onsite work arrangement for team members from August 18 to August 21, allowing employees to work remotely without requiring onsite reporting during the four-day period.
The temporary measure announced by Head of People Services and Community Partnerships Ray-an Cabe aims to prioritise employee safety while ensuring business continuity. Team members who may face travel disruptions, flooding, or other weather-related challenges are encouraged to work from home and remain connected through the organisation’s standard communication channels.
Despite the flexible arrangement, the office will remain fully operational throughout the period. Employees who prefer to work onsite may continue to report to the office as usual. In addition, the facility will be accessible to team members who may need a safe and secure location during adverse weather conditions.
“Our priority is the safety and well-being of our team members,” said Cabe. “Employees may choose the work environment that allows them to stay safe while continuing to perform their responsibilities effectively.”
Management will continue to monitor weather developments and provide further updates should conditions change. Team members are encouraged to stay informed through official company communications and to follow local weather advisories and safety recommendations.
The flexible onsite arrangement reflects the organisation’s commitment to supporting employees during challenging weather situations while maintaining uninterrupted operations and ensuring that workplace resources remain available to those who need them.
For any concerns regarding work arrangements or office accessibility, employees are advised to coordinate directly with their respective leads and managers.
