TAGUIG CITY, Philippines – Guild Solutions, Inc. (GSI) and Forest Foundation Philippines formalised a partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at Max’s Restaurant in Forbes Park, Bonifacio Global City on 10 July 2026, committing to support the restoration of three hectares of degraded forest land within the Quirino Protected Landscape in Northern Luzon.
GSI Chief Executive Officer Engelbert Nolasco, Head of People Services and Community Partnerships Ray-An Cabe, and Head of Finance and Accounting Services Aileeh De Guzman, together with Forest Foundation Philippines Executive Director Atty. Jose Andres Canivel and Northern Philippines Coordinator Eric Buduan signed the agreement.
The partnership will contribute to ongoing forest restoration efforts in the Quirino Protected Landscape, a key biodiversity and watershed area located within the Sierra Madre and Caraballo mountain ranges. The additional three hectares supported by GSI will expand restoration work in priority conservation areas managed by Indigenous Peoples (IPs) while helping create sustainable livelihood opportunities for local communities.
Forest Foundation Philippines currently works with local partners to restore degraded forests in the area, including an existing 25-hectare restoration program within the headwaters of Gibien Creek. GSI’s support will help scale up these efforts and strengthen the protection of critical forest ecosystems.

According to the Forest Foundation Philippines, the Quirino Protected Landscape plays an important role in conserving biodiversity, protecting watersheds, and safeguarding the headwaters of the Cagayan River. It is also part of the Sierra Madre Mountain Range, often called the “Backbone of Luzon” for its role in protecting communities from typhoons and supporting water security across the region.
The MOU reflects both organisations’ shared commitment to advancing forest conservation through collaborative action, bringing together private-sector support and community-based environmental stewardship to create lasting environmental and social benefits.
